Please continue to spread the word, forward emails and post flyers. Search and Rescue are doing everything possible with seemingly endless resources. They have requested that searching in the dangerous areas be left to the trained professionals and don't want to have leads and clues accidentally ruined by well intentioned friends and volunteers.
Today helicopters, planes, ATV's, boats and ground crews were all searching from Squamish down thru Coquitlam and across to Pitt Lake. We expect a large number of Search and Rescue out for the weekend and pray that the weather continues to co-operate.
We know Ty would be grateful for all the comments and prayers. Please keep them coming.
Tyler's friend, Cameron Herold, posted this via twitter... "HELP: Anyone have contacts @ Canadas OLN for TV show www.mantracker.ca - I will pay costs if he comes to help find Ty" Here is the original twitter post:

I've emailed ManTracker myself as well to see if they can help.
ReplyDeletehope that he is found safe and sound
ReplyDeleteHi Cameron.... I just got back from Pitt Lake and will go up again on Monday. It's a huge lake! (glacier fed and has a tide) even seals hang out in there... they come up the Faser river into the Pitt River and into the lake. Most of the area around the lake is crown land or park land. I also just did the Mantracker show up in Quesnel last Aug with my son (it will air Oct 9th on OLN). But what you have to remember, it's a reality show, and the course is plotted out before hand. Also, there are no roads past the dyke at the mouth of the lake, exept for old logging roads and road allowances near the cabins. There are only a handful of pockets of cabins up there, and all are water accesable only. Can you tell us where and when he was last seen? and a descrption of him and what he was wearing?

oops... now I see his pic and a description to the right. I'll keep a lookout for him. Why do you think he might be in the Pitt Lake area?
ReplyDeleteATTN: Squamish SAR is asking for Money Donations to be made - see donations at the top of this page. They do NOT need Quads or Motorbikes or Food etc.
ReplyDeleteMONEY donations - will get them everything needed.

My prayers are with your family, stay positive. Tyler sounds like a very capable hiker. I hope the RCMP can use an infared or thermal imaging camera system when they search from the helicopter when visibility is restricted.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for the email address for the SAR team leader for Tyler Wright's search. ASAP
ReplyDeletehas anyone thought of placing beacon lights. Like the ones at the
ReplyDeletePNE they can be seen for miles just incase he is lost. Did they use tracking dogs. This may sound crazy but what about a physic. I have a certificate for a supposed good one. Its worth $125 and I would give it to the family or a friend if they want it.
