We are not giving up on you...look at how many people care and continue to show support for your safe return home. Where there is a will there is always a way...we will continue to pray and trust in God to give you strength!!
I'm just curious...I went to the fundraiser for Tyler and Search and Rescue last night at Joey's downtown that I actually learned about through a Twitter feed; I'm wondering why there was no mention of it at all on this site?Apparently, from what I heard today, about $5000 was raised??
Don't have an answer for you Colin, but do have another fundraiser :) The other one I think was listed in one of the comment sections on the blog too but not as a main blog entry...Fundraiser Aug 27th in Maple Ridge: The Haney Public House22222 Lougheed HwyJoin us as we raise funds for Tyler's search!$15 at the door (includes burger and a beer)50/50, Toonie Toss, Silent Auction and Much More!http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=139904746051483&ref=mf
Is there any progress? Any more footprints or tracks of any sort? Any good news?

is there any way an updated 'map' can be posted...this is from when they first said he was missing. That would be helpful also perhpas which videos are most important to focus on for clues.http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_jIsITBoR3yE/TG105TU1QhI/AAAAAAAAADA/exIVaTFxSQA/s1600/Satellite+Image+4.png
unofficially just from watching CTV newscast, Location of firepit: http://maps.google.ca/maps?q=49.567455,-122.761946&num=1&t=p&sll=49.248523,-123.1088&sspn=0.116608,0.256119&ie=UTF8&ll=49.570204,-122.741833&spn=0.054104,0.154324&z=13
it would be helpful if you posted the story under his picture at the top of the page. I just learned about this story this a.m. on Global news but there were no background details. When did he go missing? Where did he set off from? What were his plans? What did he have with him?
cathy -Look on the right hand side of the page under "BLOG ARCHIVES"and click on "help us find Tyler Wright" it's the 3rd one from the bottom. It's the first post with all the details.hope that helps.

Anyone got a pic of Ty in his "MIGHTY" t-shirt? In my prayer time I keep seeing that pic and would love to get my hands on it....Christy10derheart@gmail.comp.s thx for narrowing down the search vids, will give 'em another look :)
Just a thought... would it help to fly a banner over the area mentioning that you are looking for him? Maybe he has no idea and is still just hiking thinking it would be okay to extend his planned hike? This way he would know to make some sort of sign or flag...
Hello there. In order to expedite the process and to make it easier to give out the URL for this site over the radio and TV, I registered the domain name www.findtyler.com and pointed it to this site. In retrospect , I should have made it a .org site, but in my haste I went for .com. Hope this helps. I'll gladly sign it over to anyone in charge. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need details. Good luck everyone and all the best from Halifax. I'll go back to watching the videos.
That's awesome Franko. I hope they use it going forward... findtyler.com makes it nice, simple and easy to remember.
been posting comments on the videos on youtube, not here.also, I found 2 pics from when we went to Greece in 1998, I'll post a link shortly.- Fraser

Still praying like crazy for you, Tyler! Rescue is coming, friend.Anna & David
For those of you praying for Tyler. I saw this article written by Tyler himself on one of this last endeavors. This should prove to stir up our faith to keep on praying and believing that Tyler will be found alive. He's been prepared for this. He's been through a similar experience and having survived a trail that few, if any, survive. If he survived the trail that he wrote about in this article then there is amazing hope with this trail. Here's the link ... http://adventures.bootsnall.com/articles/05-11/crossing-the-healing-island.html
Wow Geoff and Sarah. Amazing read. Makes me wonder how and why the news reporting him as inexperienced.
I have hiked extensively through the Boise creek valley, from the same starting point behind Squamish. The trail is only very vaguely marked and traversing that area would require a map and a compass. The terrain in most of the lower canyon is very treacherous and it is very difficult to see one's footing. Running shoes would certainly lead to sprained ankles. I would imagine someone might attempt to follow the Boise creek all the way to Pitt River but would come across steep ravines leading up the sides and have to hike up in order to get around them, possibly leading them up to the top of mountains on the north side of the canyon.
I am guessing that is where the family would be focusing, especially since there were marks that Ty was trying to get up the side.Thankful for sunshine today.
