Progress

The weather has started to cooperate with Search and Rescue and crews are able to do their job to the best of their abilities today.

Footprints have been found that are more than 24hrs but provide a direction for Search and Rescue to focus their attention.

UPDATE - Tyler Wright left his friend on August 10th to go on a solo hike from east of Squamish to hike through Boise Creek trail area and then hook up with his family and friends five days later in the Coquitlam area.
Tyler is now overdue by six days and has been the subject of an intensive search since August 18th.

Today Saturday August 21st there are search parties based out of both Squamish and Coquitlam searching for Tyler. The teams out of Squamish are searching to the east and south of Boise Creek Trail and the Bull Canyon area, the teams out of Coquitlam are searching to the north and west of Widgeon Lake area.

A footprint and tamped down day bed area have been located by searchers to date, and has given some focus and direction to the searchers.

  3. It appears that Cameron Herold has got some contact with Mantracker and RCMP in Squamish... here is his twitter post...

"@trevormah- he and I have emailed. I sent his info to ty's sister. He will come 'if RCMP request' and RcMP are in Search offices with her."
about 1 hour ago via Echofon in reply to trevormah

if anyone can help enable this connection - in contact with Carm or Evelyn and has Cameron's contact info that would be great. Wendy Dubois also has another person who has contacted mantracker as well, he's been tracked down :)

great update from RCMP, thanks belcarrapilgrim!
